SBI Fixed Deposit: The largest Public sector bank of India ‘SBI’ has hiked interest rate for Fixed deposits up to 2 crore. This action came after the Reserve Bank of India increased the repo rate by another 0.25 percent. The new interest rate would be in effect from 15, February 2023. Along with the hiked interest rate, the State Bank of India announced a special ‘400 days’ Fixed deposit policy at an interest rate of 7.10 percent, This rate is for normal citizens, senior citizens would get 50 bps more interest rate.

Updated interest rate on fixed deposit
7 days to 45 days – 3 percent for Normal Citizens & 3.5 percent for senior citizen
46 days to 179 days – 4.5 percent for Normal Citizens & 5 percent for senior citizen
180 days to 210 days – 5.25 percent for Normal Citizens & 5.75 percent for senior citizen
211 days to 364 days – 5.75 percent for Normal Citizens & 6.25 percent for senior citizen
1 year to less than 2 years – 6.8 percent for Normal Citizens & 7.3 percent for senior citizen
2 years to less than 3 years – 7 percent for Normal Citizens & 7.5 percent for senior citizen
3 years to less than 5 years – 6.5 percent for Normal Citizens & 7 percent for senior citizen
5 years to up to 10 years – 6.8 percent for Normal Citizens & 7.3 percent for senior citizen
