Pension grievances: The DoPPW serves as the focal point for the development of policies governing pensions and other retirement benefits for family and central government retirees.
According to a statement, the Department of Pension and Pensioners’ Welfare (DoPPW) has handled 3,150 unresolved pension-related complaints throughout the ongoing special Swachhata campaign.
3,150 pension grievance resolved so far
According to a statement released by the Personnel Ministry, the department has set a goal of resolving 4,200 outstanding pension grievances during the campaign, which started on October 2 and will end on October 31. This will ensure prompt resolution and improve the “ease of living” for 68 lakh central government pensioners.
3,150 pension grievances had been settled as of October 21 this year, which is less than 20 days after the campaign officially began, it stated.
To address all complaints in a timely manner, the department is holding interministerial meetings with the relevant ministries and departments.
According to the statement, the DoPPW has carried out a total of 26 cleanliness programmes, issued 30 circulars under the relaxing of rules and procedures, closed 3,094 e-files, and published circulars regarding ease of rules and processes.
