Refrigerators have turned to be a necessity than a luxury item in our life. In today’s busy life it is very difficult to imagine kitchen without freeze as it is perfect storage material for middle class, high class, below middle class. With the start of the new year it is expected that the price of refrigerators has gone up in coming days. According to experts, it is expected that many companies will hike price of refrigerators.
Things that are used in the summer typically become less expensive in the winter. However, it is anticipated that prices would increase soon for refrigerators. This is as a result of the new regulations issued by the Bureau of Energy Efficiency on January 1st.

The updated regulations from the Bureau of Energy Efficiency went into effect on January 1. Companies including Godrej, Haier, and Panasonic claim that customers may be asked to pay 2–5% more.
The government has mandated that the freezer and refrigerator provisioning units on frost-free refrigerators be labelled separately. The input cost will go up as a result.
Up to 3% more money will be spent on building the refrigerator energy-efficiently.
This, however, will be based on several models and star ratings.
According to Godrej’s Executive Vice President Kamal Nandi, the price of refrigerators is anticipated to increase by 2% to 3% as a result of the requirement to identify the products separately.
Companies will need to report the net capacity of refrigerators, according to Nandi. The capacity that consumers can really use is referred to as net capacity.
Fumiyasu Fuzimori, managing editor at Panasonic, announced a 5% price rise.
