- Tata was honoured with the Padma Bhushan, 3rd highest civilian honour of the Government of India in 2000.
- Tata was also honoured with the second highest civilian honour of India, the Padma Vibhushan in 2008.
- Ratan Tata was also honoured with several state civilian awards. One among them was Maharashtra Bhushan in 2006.
- Tata was conferred with the Assam Baibhav award in 2021.
