On October 29, Elcid Investments, the holding company, saw its shares skyrocket to a staggering Rs 2.36 lakh crore, dethroning MRF as the most expensive tradable stock. Notably, this surge represents a remarkable 66,92,535% increase from its humble starting price of just Rs 3.53 per share.

Additionally, the unexpected surge in Elcid Investments’ shares was triggered by a special auction conducted by the BSE, Asia’s oldest stock exchange, aimed at price discovery for investment holding companies.
