Pre-budget economic survey: The Budget Session of Parliament began at 11 a.m. on Monday. Droupadi Murmu, President of India, addressed both houses in a joint session. The release will be followed by a press conference with Chief Economic Advisor V Anantha Nageswaran and other senior finance ministry officials. Under the baseline scenario, India’s GDP growth is expected to be 6-6.8% in FY2024, according to the Economic Survey. This is the slowest pace in three years. For 2023-24, nominal growth is expected to be 11%. According to last year’s survey, India’s economy will grow by 8-8.5% in FY23. The Economic Survey is created under the supervision of the government’s CEA and includes information about the state of the Indian economy in the current fiscal year.
