PM Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana: In a significant move to boost employment opportunities across the country, the Narendra Modi government has launched a new scheme – Pradhan Mantri Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana (PMVBRY). The new employment-linked incentive scheme offers financial support to employers to boost job creation.
Under the initiative, the government will provide incentives of up to Rs 15,000 to the first-time employees (equal to one month’s Employees’ Provident Fund wage). This amount will be disbursed in two installments. Interested employers can visit the official portal of the Pradhan Mantri Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana to complete their one-time registration process. Employers will receive up to Rs 3,000 monthly for each new job position created.
Who Is Eligible?
First-Time EPF-Registered Employees
Any employee whose date of joining in an establishment falls between 01.08.2025 and 31.07.2027 (both dates inclusive), and:
- who was not a contributing member of the Employees’ Provident Fund, either with EPFO or an exempted trust, prior to 01.08.2025, and
- whose contribution is received in the EPFO or an exempted trust for the first time for the wage month of August 2025 or thereafter, shall be eligible under the scheme.
Monthly Salary of up to Rs 1,00,000
Inclusive of all emoluments received by the employee as per the terms of the employment contract.
Must stay continuously employed for 6 months
Must complete 6 months of employment in the same establishment for the first installment of the incentive.
Two-Part Disbursement Process
- 1st installment after 6 months of service
- 2nd installment after 12 months of service
NOTE: 2nd installment of the benefit is deposited in a savings instrument to encourage savings habits
How To Apply
- Register on the official portal
- Or obtain UAN: Get your Universal Account Number through your employer or directly through the UMANG App
- Sustained Employment: Work for at least 6 months in your job
- Incentives: Receive your incentive directly in your Aadhar seeded bank account
- Complete Financial Literacy Program: Complete the Free Financial Literacy Program within 12 months to receive 2nd installment of the incentive
