New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will dedicate two digital banking units of Jammu and Kashmir Bank to the country via video conferencing on Sunday, according to officials.
According to them, the prime minister would inaugurate 75 digital banking units (DBUs) of various banks across the nation on Sunday, including two of Jammu and Kashmir Bank. On this occasion, Modi will also make a speech to the country.

The SSI branch at Lal Chowk in Srinagar and the Channi Rama branch in Jammu are the two locations.
The establishment of the 75 DBUs in as many districts across the nation was announced by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman as a part of the Union budget for 2022–2023 in honour of India’s 75th anniversary of independence.

The DBUs are being established to make sure that the advantages of digital banking are felt throughout the entire nation. Eleven public banks, twelve commercial banks, and one small finance bank are taking part in the project.
DBUs will offer customers a range of digital banking services, including the ability to open a savings account, check their account balance, print a passbook, send money, invest in fixed deposits, apply for loans, apply for credit or debit cards, pay bills and taxes, and more.
