PM Kisan 21st Installment Date: Farmers across Jammu-Kashmir, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, and Punjab received Rs 2000 under Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana early due to recent natural losses. With just two days left for Diwali, the hopes are extremely high among those who are eagerly awaiting the financial aid money. However, the scheme’s official portal still shows the old information with no recent update.
Banks Open on Dhanteras
The chances are high that the farmers will get good news today itself, as October 18 is not a declared bank holiday on Dhanteras. The payment is likely to be credited on time if you have already completed e-KYC verification, land verification, and your bank account is DBT-enabled.
Will Farmers Receive Rs 2000 Today?
There is a possibility that the PM Kisan 21st installment will be released into the bank accounts of all eligible farmers today or before Diwali, as the distribution is underway. The process of distribution encountered a delay last week as the Center had cracked down on at least 31 lakh husband-wife dual beneficiaries who were benefiting from the income support scheme.
Those farmers are no longer eligible, as the payment rule extends to only one member of the landlord family. Farmers with incorrect banking details may also miss out or face delays in payment. In such a situation, make sure that steps are completed on time.
