The PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana is one of the key welfare schemes run by the Government of India. The scheme aims to provide financial support to farmers across the country, where the eligible farmers will get Rs 6,000 annually. It is distributed in three instalments of Rs 2,000 each. The farmers have received 20 instalments so far, and now they are waiting for the 21st instalment.
Which all states received instalments
On September 26, the central government have distributed the 21st instalment to farmers in Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, and Punjab. Jammu and Kashmir received the instalment on October 7. Nearly 27 lakh farmers in these states received the payment, with Rs 540 crore being transferred to their bank accounts.
Why did these states get instalments first
The decision to release the instalment to the four states was taken due to heavy rains and landslides that caused severe damage to crops, prompting the government to provide timely financial relief. The other states are supposed to receive the instalments before Diwali.
When will the other farmers receive the payment
However, the central government hasn’t made any announcements on the 21st instalment release. It is expected that the farmers will receive their payment before Diwali. Last year, the instalment was released on October 5 before Diwali. It is expected that the central government will follow the same pattern this time too. Then the farmers will be getting their payment before October 20.
PM KISAN 21st Instalment – You shouldn’t miss this!
Those farmers who haven’t completed the e-KYC process or linked their Aadhaar with a bank account, and have not completed land verification, will not receive the PM KISAN 21st installment. Those with incorrect banking details may also miss out or face delays in payment. In such a situation, make sure that steps are completed on time.
Steps To Complete e-KYC
Farmers can visit the official portal of PM Kisan (pmkisan.gov.in) and complete their e-KYC online using their Aadhaar number and OTP. Alternatively, they can go to nearby CSC centers or banks for verification of biometrics.

- Go to ‘Farmers Corner’
- Click on ‘Beneficiary Status’
- Enter details such as Aadhaar or registration number
- You can now check your village list under ‘Beneficiary List’
