PM Kisan 21st installment: Farmers across several states were expecting to receive the financial aid under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana before Diwali. However, their hopes were shattered as the money had not yet reached their bank accounts. Additionally, no official date has been announced for the 21st installment payment. Amid speculation, reports suggest that Rs 2000 will be transferred in the first week of November.
Are Banks Open Or Closed Today?
As farmers look forward to receiving the payment ahead of the first phase of the Bihar assembly elections 2025, let’s find out if banks will remain closed or open on Friday, October 24, 2025. Banks will remain open as there is no festival today. As per the RBI’s holiday calendar, banks in Bihar and Jharkhand will remain closed on October 27 and 28, 2025, due to Chhath Puja celebrations.
In West Bengal, banks will be shut only on October 27. Banking services will carry on as usual in other states. Although the farmers keenly await the installment money, there are fewer chances that the payment will be credited this week or before Chhath Puja.
Do This To Receive Payment On Time
To receive timely payment, farmers must complete the e-KYC verification, land verification, and check whether the bank account is DBT-enabled. To do this, visit the official portal of PM Kisan (pmkisan.gov.in) and complete their e-KYC online using their Aadhaar number and OTP. Alternatively, eligible farmers can go to nearby CSC centers or banks for verification of biometrics.
