The scammers have been sending messages claiming that the bank accounts of the individuals will be frozen. Additionally, the scammers are saying that the non–updation of PAN Card details will lead to the freezing of accounts.

Meanwhile, the messages contain a link prompting users to update their PAN card details. Evidently, many individuals click such malicious links due to the fear of freezing bank accounts. Scammers are leveraging the new rules about PAN 2.0 that the Central Government has recently announced. Since people don’t have sufficient information they fall prey.
