Paytm Payments Bank Limited (PPBL) has announced that Paytm app users will now be able to make UPI transactions to any mobile number across all UPI payment apps, even if the recipient is not a Paytm user. Paytm app users can now receive and send money to any mobile number with a registered UPI ID across payment apps.

Users will benefit from interoperability across all UPI-based payment apps with this new feature. The National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) has granted access to its universal database to all payment service providers, making UPI payments interoperable. According to the most recent NPCI report, PPBL has registered over 1,614 million transactions as a beneficiary bank and 1,614 million transactions as a remitter bank.

Follow these step to send money to other UPI apps

Tap ‘To UPI Apps’ in the Paytm app’s ‘UPI Money Transfer’ section.

Tap ‘Enter Mobile No. of any UPI app’ and enter the recipient’s mobile number.

Enter the amount and click ‘Pay Now’ for an instant money transfer.
