New Aadhaar App: No Need To Carry Photocopies Anymore! Verify Your ID With Just Your Face – Here’s What To Do

Delhi: Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw on Tuesday shared details about the newly launched Aadhaar app through his official X handle. The features include face ID authentication via a mobile app and the elimination of physical cards and photocopies. In his social media post, the IT & Electronics Minister wrote, "Now with just a tap, users can share only the necessary data, giving them complete control over their personal information - New Aadhaar App (in beta testing phase)."

Complete Control Over Personal Information

Vaishnaw stated that the New Aadhaar App is in the beta testing phase and provides users with complete control over their private information. He added that Aadhaar verification becomes effortless, just like making a UPI payment with the app. Now users can have the option to digitally verify and share their Aadhaar details while ensuring their privacy.

No Scanned And Printed Copies

Other benefits include the elimination of printed copies and physical cards. With the newly launched Aadhaar app, people will no longer need to get their Aadhaar card scanned or photocopied.

Additionally, Aadhaar will be 100 percent digital and secure, and there will be no need to hand over your Aadhaar photocopy at hotel receptions, shops, or during travel. "The Aadhaar App is secure and shareable only with the user's consent," the Union Minister said.
