Unified Payment Interface (UPI) is down across all payment applications in India on Wednesday, according to Down Detector. The DD chart shows that the problem started at 4 pm with “24 complaints” and continued till 8 pm. The highest number of complaints, 3200, was reported at 7.45 pm.

The problem was reported at Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Kanpur and other states, according to the website. At 8.27 pm, 83 percent of the problem were occurred during payments, 13 percent fund transfer and 4 percent in applications.
296 complaints received on Google Pay, 119 on Paytm and 376 reported by State Bank of India Users. Majority of complaints received from people using SBI bank.
“For the first time in my life I’ve experienced UPI downtime. Not Banks, or gateways, but @UPI_NPCI itself btw, uptime was 100% in feb,” an X user, posted on the social media platform.

Another user said on X, “What is is this Nonsense.?? UPI not Working. My Money is debited but Not credited to My friend account @UPI_NPCI.”
