Good news for engineering graduates. Infosys has increased its entry-level salaries for freshers, offering packages of up to Rs 21 lakh per year for specialised technology roles. The move is part of the company’s push to strengthen its AI-first strategy and attract digitally skilled young talent.

With this hike, Infosys has now become one of the highest-paying Indian IT companies at the entry level, especially for advanced tech roles.

Off-campus hiring drive for 2025 graduates

According to social media posts and banners reviewed and verified by Moneycontrol, Infosys is launching an off-campus hiring drive for 2025 batch engineering and computer science graduates. The company is hiring for specialised technology positions, with salary packages ranging from Rs 7 lakh to Rs 21 lakh per annum.

The roles on offer include Specialist Programmer (L1 to L3) and Digital Specialist Engineer (Trainee). These jobs are open to candidates from Computer Science and IT, as well as select circuit branches such as ECE and EEE.

Eligible degrees include BE, BTech, ME, MTech, MCA and Integrated MSc programmes.

Here’s how the salary structure looks:

  • Specialist Programmer L3 (Trainee): Rs 21 lakh per year
  • Specialist Programmer L2 (Trainee): Rs 16 lakh per year
  • Specialist Programmer L1 (Trainee): Rs 11 lakh per year
  • Digital Specialist Engineer (Trainee): Rs 7 lakh per year

Infosys Group Chief Human Resources Officer Shaji Mathew told Moneycontrol that the company is adopting an AI-first approach across all services. To support this, Infosys is both upskilling existing employees and bringing in fresh talent with strong digital skills. He added that Infosys has expanded opportunities under the specialist programmer track, with packages going up to Rs 21 lakh.

Infosys on track to hire 20,000 freshers this year

Infosys has already hired 12,000 freshers in the first half of FY26 and is on track to meet its target of 20,000 fresher hires this year. This was shared by Infosys CFO Jayesh Sanghrajka during the company’s September quarter results announcement on October 16, 2025.

During the September 2025 quarter alone, Infosys added 8203 employees to its workforce, underlining its strong hiring momentum.
