Mukhyamantri Ladli Behna Yojana: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav will transfer the funds to the respective bank beneficiaries of Ladli Behna Yojana on Wednesday, 16th April. As per an official release, Rs 1,552.38 crores will be deposited as the April installment in the accounts of 1.27 crore women. It will be the 23rd installment under the scheme, under which each Laldi Behna beneficiary will get Rs 1,250/month.
About Mukhyamantri Ladli Behna Yojana
Ladli Behna Yojana is an ambitious scheme of the Madhya Pradesh government for the overall development of women. Under this scheme, eligible women are provided Rs 1,250 every month. Meanwhile, the government assures that there will be no delay or interruption in the distribution of funds. The Chief Minister announced the implementation of “Mukhyamantri Ladli Behna Yojana” in the state on 28th January 2023. Through this scheme, the main aim is to make women financially independent and maintain continuous improvement in their and that of their children’s health and nutrition levels.
The implementation of the scheme comes in light of various factors. While there is 57.7 percent male participation in rural areas, only 23.3 percent of women participate in the labor force. In urban areas, on the other hand, there is only 13.6 percent of women’s participation in the labor force against 55.9 percent of men. This affects their economic self-reliance, and therefore, with the financial assistance received every month, they can develop their livelihood resources. Additionally, they will also play an effective role in decision-making at the family level.
Major Change In The Scheme
Sharing details about major changes in the scheme, Cabinet Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya said, “Now the amount of this Yojana can be deposited between the 10th to 15th of every month instead of the 10th.” The decision aligns in accordance with the convenience of the government.
