Mukhyamantri Kanya Sumangala Yojana, launched by the Uttar Pradesh government, aims to empower girls and women by providing them with financial assistance. This scheme offers new development opportunities to move towards higher education and employment. Additionally, it aims to eradicate evils like female foeticide and child marriage. Under the scheme, a total amount of up to Rs 25,000 will be directly given to the beneficiaries.

Stage-Wise Ability For Beneficially

The scheme is divided into six stages:

  • The girl child born on or after April 1, 2019, will get Rs. 5000 for one time
  • The girl child who has received full immunization and was not born before April 1, 2018, will benefit from Rs. 2000 for one time
  • The girl child who has enrolled in Class 1 during the current academic year will benefit from Rs. 3000 for one time
  • The girl child who has enrolled in Class 6 during the current academic year will benefit from Rs. 3000 for one time
  • The girl child who has enrolled in Standard 9 during the current academic year will benefit from Rs. 5000 for one time
  • The girl who has passed Class 10/12 and has enrolled in a bachelor’s degree or at least 2 years of a certified diploma course in the current academic year will benefit from Rs. 7000 for one Time

Who Are Eligible?

  • The family of the beneficiary must be a resident of Uttar Pradesh and must have proof of residence for the same, under which the Ration card/Voter ID/electricity bill/telephone bill will be valid.
  • The income of the beneficiary’s family must be a maximum of 3 lakh per annum
  • Maximum of two girls of one family will be benefitted under the scheme.
  • Family must have maximum two children
  • If a woman delivers twin babies in her second delivery, then the third child will also be eligible for the benefit. If a woman has a girl from her first delivery and she has twin girls from her second, then only in this condition will all three girls be eligible for the benefit.
  • If a family has adopted an orphan girl, then a maximum of two girls will be benefiting under the scheme, including the biological children and the adopted girl child.

Online Application Process

  • Visit the official portal at mksy.up.gov.in
  • Register by agreeing to the terms
  • Enter beneficiary details and verify with OTP
  • Fill the application form and upload the required documents
  • Submit the form
