Milk price continues to get costlier as another Indian dairy joins Amul, and Mother India in price hike. This time, Parag has increased the price of half litre and one litre milk packing by Rs 1 each.
After the latest price hike, Parag’s 1 litre full cream milk will now cost Rs 69 against Rs 68. The price of half litre pack has also been raised from Rs 34 to Rs 35. Meanwhile, 1 litre of toned milk will now cost Rs 57 instead of Rs 56 and half litre pack will now cost Rs 29 against Rs 28.
Moreover, Parag’s half litre standard milk will be available for Rs 32 instead of Rs 31 and the price of 5 litre milk has been increased from Rs 280 to Rs 290.
Milk Price Hike
Amul and Mother Dairy has raised the milk prices by up to Rs 2 per litre. Mother Dairy had announced the price, effective from Wednesday, April 30, 2025. Meanwhile, Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation, which operates Amul, announced the price hike, effective from today, May 1.
Retail customers will have to pay more as the hiked price will dent their pockets. After the latest increase, Amul’s full cream milk now costs Rs 67 per litre instead of Rs 65 per litre. Moreover, bulk-vended toned milk’s price is now increased to Rs 55 per litre from Rs 53 per litre.
Meanwhile, Mother Dairy’s bulk vended toned milk has been increased to Rs 56 per litre from Rs 54 per litre. Its full cream milk now costs Rs 69 per litre against Rs 68 per litre. Moreover, the company’s cow milk cost has been raised to Rs 57 per litre from Rs 56 and double-toned milk now costs Rs 51 per litre against Rs 49.
