One such person is Jay Chaudhry, a well-known Indian-American technology entrepreneur with a net worth of $11.7 billion. Chaudhry is the CEO of Zscaler, a leading cloud-based cybersecurity company.

Jay was born in Himachal Pradesh’s Panoh. He did not have electricity at home during his school days. But, his hard work and resilience yielded splendid results. Jay earned B.Tech in Electronics Engineering from IIT BHU. He later moved to the United States and attended University of Cincinnati to pursue Master’s in industrial engineering and marketing. 

In 2008, Jay founded Zscaler, a cloud-based cybersecurity company. The firm went public in 2018 with an aim to provide a modern approach to cybersecurity. Jay had earlier attempted to establish a company in 1996. He launched SecureIT with an investment of $5,00,000 from his savings. His wife, Jyoti, also invested in the cybersecurity start-up. She had left her job to help Jay.

Jay had launched three other companies along with SecureIT. The three companies were-CoreHarbor, CipherTrust, and AirDefense. but  he sold all four companies before launching Zscaler. 

Jay lives in Nevada in the United States. His net worth is $11.7 billion and ranked at 84th position in the category richest billionaires, according to Forbes.
