Rajasthan’s Chinu Kala left her home at the age of 15 with Rs 300. She spent her nights at the railway station. Later, she also worked as waitress, receptionist, telecaller and did door-to-door sales. She spent her money wisely, and never gave up in her life.

Chinu Kala launched Rubans

Chinu Kala got an opportunity to participate in Gladrags Mrs India. She learnt that high quality jewellery was an expensive one and cheaper jewelleries were low in quality. She decided to manufacture good quality jewellery at a low price and later launched, Rubans brand.

She started her business in a small space

In 2014, Chinu Kala opened a showroom in a mall after facing hardships. She did not have deposit money, and somehow managed the deal, and started Rubans Accessories on 36 square feet. She stood outside the mall for 45 days to observe what people wanted to buy. On the first day of business, she sold products worth Rs 1.5 lakh.

Rubans enjoys trust of over 40 lakhs customers

Chinu Kala struggled to establish her business as once fire engulfed her shop, and her business got destroyed in the incident. Chinu had her savings and she started to raise her business once again, and today Rubans has been trusted by over 40 lakhs customers.

Kala started her business from the ground, and today the turnover of her business is Rs 300 crore. She got offers worth crores in the second season of Shark Tank which had given a boost to her business.
