Manjhi Kanya Bhagyashree Yojana: The government runs a number of programmes to help daughters. The government pays for all of a daughter’s expenses, including her education. One such scheme is run by the Maharashtra government. Through this plan, the government offers Rs50,000 on the birth of a daughter.

The Maharashtra government started the Manjhi Kanya Bhagyashree Yojana on April 1st, 2016. The programme was created to raise and improve females’ statistics. A family with two girls will also benefit from this arrangement.

How, where and when to apply for the scheme?

To apply for this state-sponsored scheme, go to the Government of Maharashtra’s official website. The Manjhi Kanya Bhagyashree Yojana form, which will be published on the website, must be downloaded. After downloading, the application form must be completely filled out. Before submitting the completed form to the Office of Women and Child Development, you must attach the supporting papers.

Majhi Kanya Bhagyashree scheme eligibility

The advantages of the this Yojana are only available to inhabitants of the state of Maharashtra. Under this arrangement, the mother and daughter’s names are put to a joint bank account, which also receives a Rs. 1 lakh accident insurance policy and a Rs. 5000 overdraft. In addition, the parents would receive Rs. 50,000 if they want to have their daughter sterilised after she is born. If, on the other hand, sterilisation is performed after the birth of two girls, a sum of Rs. 25000 is granted in both girls’ names. Under this scheme, the money supplied by the state government can be used for the education of girls.

Documents required

To be eligible for the Manjhi Kanya Bhagyashree Yojana, the applicant must have an Aadhaar card, the mother’s or female child’s bank account passbook, a mobile phone number, a passport-size photo, a residence certificate, and an income certificate. Even if there is a third child, only two females will profit from this strategy.
