Ladki Bahin Yojana: Complete e-KYC within 2 months to continue receiving Rs 1,500 aid – here’s how to do it

Earlier on Thursday, a government resolution (GR) was issued, granting the next two months to all eligible women beneficiaries to complete the e-KYC process.

Ladki Bahin Yojana: The process of transferring Rs 1,500 monthly assistance to the accounts of female beneficiaries under the Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin scheme started on September 11, 2025. In a major update, the Maharashtra Government has now made e-KYC mandatory to maintain transparency. Earlier on Thursday, a government resolution (GR) was issued, granting the next two months to all eligible women beneficiaries to complete the process.

In a post on X, Maharashtra Women and Child Development Minister Aditi S Tatkare confirmed, “e-KYC facility has been made available on this web portal https://ladakibahin.maharashtra.gov.in for all the beneficiaries of the Chief Minister’s Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana. It is a humble request that all the beneficiaries of the scheme should complete the said e-KYC process within the next 2 months from today.”

As per the provisions of the Aadhaar Act, Aadhaar authentication is required to access any government scheme. Female beneficiaries of the Ladki Bahin Yojana must get their e-KYC done. This will ensure that the benefits of the scheme are only available to the needy women.

Steps To Complete E-KYC

  • Click on the display link available on the home page
  •  Register your Aadhaar number and enter the captcha code
  • Carry out Aadhaar authentication – Click on ‘I agree’
  • Select the ‘send’ OTP option
  • You will receive an OTP on the mobile number linked to Aadhaar

All eligible women must keep checking the website regularly for any updates and complete the process immediately once it starts.

Eligibility

  • The applicant should be a woman.
  • A resident of the state of Maharashtra.
  • Age must be between 21 and 65 years.
  • Bank account should be linked to Aadhaar.
  • The annual income of the applicant’s family should not exceed Rs 2,50,000
  • The applicant should be any one of the following: a married woman, a widow, a divorced woman, an abandoned and defenseless woman, or an unmarried woman in the family
