LPG prices update – check latest domestic and commercial cylinder prices in Delhi, Bangalore, Hyderabad, and Kolkata

LPG prices in New Delhi are revised regularly, with domestic and commercial cylinders available in different sizes and households eligible for up to 12 subsidized cylinders per year.

The domestic LPG price for the 14.2 kg cylinder in New Delhi stands at Rs 853.00, no change recorded in the LPG price compared to last month. The LPG price has remained unchanged at Rs 853 since April, as per Goodreturns.com. Over teh past 12 months, the LPG price trend has been increasing, with an increase of Rs 50 from December 2024 to November 2025- teh most significant price increase was noticed on Rs 50 in April 2025.

Domestic cylinders are used in homes for cooking, while commercial cylinders are meant for hotels, restaurants, and industries. The domestic LPG cylinder in New Delhi weighs 14.2 kg ± 150 grams, with a total weight of about 29.5 kg when filled.

In India, LPG is measured in kilograms, and this weight is used when cylinders are refilled or exchanged. Commercial LPG cylinders come in three sizes — 5 kg, 19 kg, and 47.5 kg.

Amount of Liquid in a 14.2 kg LPG Cylinder

  • For LPG (Propane): 1 kg = 1.96 litres, so 14.2 kg = 27.83 litres
  • For LPG (Butane): 1 kg = 1.724 litres, so 14.2 kg = 24.48 litres
  • For a 75% Butane and 25% Propane mixture: 1 kg = 1.783 litres, so 14.2 kg = 25.34 litres

Price of LPG Cylinder in Delhi

In Delhi, a 14.2 kg domestic LPG cylinder costs Rs 820 per month. Each household in India can buy up to 12 LPG cylinders per year at a subsidized rate. If a consumer purchases more than 12 cylinders in a year, the extra cylinders are charged at non-subsidized prices.

Recently, an increase in LPG prices has also raised the subsidy amount transferred to consumers’ bank accounts. As of October 2018, the government was depositing Rs 396 per cylinder, which was Rs 59 higher than the previous month’s subsidy of Rs 337 per cylinder (in September 2018).
