PAN Card: Permanent Account Number(PAN) is a crucial document for all kinds of financial transactions. PAN is a 10 digit alphanumeric number, it can be obtained from the income tax department by applying for it online or offline. If you are an existing PAN card holder and lost your card then you need to apply to get your new PAN card.
First of all, You need to file an FIR at the local Police Station. This will help you to get a new PAN card.
Steps to Reapply for PAN
- Visit the official Website of TIN-NSDL
- Select application type “change of correction in existing PAN data/Reprint PAN(No changes in existing card)
- Fill all the information marked as mandatory, like name, date of birth, mobile number and submit it
- As you Submit, A token number will be sent to your registered email. Now, Continue with the next step to file an application.
- Fill all the asked information on the ‘Personal Details’ page.
- You will have three options to choose for PAN application submission, Physical document submission, Digitally with help of e-KYC, and e-signing.
- If you choose to submit application documents physically then after payment an acknowledgment form will be generated, you need to print it and post it to NDLS with all required documents attested and attached.
- To Submit digitally through e-KYC and e-sign, Aadhaar is required to use this service. An verification code will be sent to your Aadhaar registered mobile number. After verification and before final submission, you need to e-sign the form.
- In the next step, you need to Submit scanned images through e-sign : an Aadhaar card is required to complete this step too. You need to upload scanned images of your passport photo, signature, and other asked documents.
- You have to choose between a physical PAN card and an electronic PAN card.
- After final submission You will be redirected to the payment page. Complete the payment. Within 15-20 working days, the PAN card will be issued to you.
