Ladli Behna Yojana: Women in Madhya Pradesh received a special ‘Diwali gift’ on Sunday as Chief Minister Mohan Yadav directly transferred Rs 1,541 crore into the bank accounts of nearly 1.27 crore women with a single click, marking the 29th installment of Ladli Behna scheme, a flagship welfare program. In a grand ceremony held in Sheopur district, CM Yadav also announced a significant hike in monthly assistance. He declared that starting from Bhai Dooj, Ladli yojana beneficiaries will receive Rs 1,500 each month.

Yadav also committed to gradually increasing the amount to Rs 3,000 by 2028, reiterating the government’s pledge to ensure economic dignity for women across the state. Despite the festive occasion, the current transfer stood at Rs 1,250 per beneficiary. However, the CM has assured that after Bhai Dooj onwards, Rs 1500 will be credited to the accounts.
“My darling sisters, after Bhai Dooj, ₹1500 will start being credited to your accounts. Today in Sheopur, in the dignified presence of the honourable Assembly Speaker Shri Narendra Singh Tomar ji, under the Chief Minister Ladli Bahna Scheme, an amount of ₹1541 crore was transferred to the accounts of more than 1.26 crore sisters, and advance Diwali greetings were extended. Additionally, the foundation stone laying and inauguration of various development works worth more than ₹532 crore were done, and benefits were also provided to the beneficiaries of other schemes,” CM Yadav wrote on X.

About Ladli Behna Yojana
To ensure economic independence of women in the state, continuous improvement in the health and nutrition level of women and their dependent children, and to strengthen their decisive role in the family, Madhya Pradesh government on January 28, 2023, announced the implementation of the “Chief Minister Ladli Behna Yojana”. Currently, Rs. 1250 per month is being given to women under this scheme.

The application form will be entered into the Ladli Behna Portal/App at the camp site/Gram Panchayat/Ward Office
Photograph of the woman will be taken during submission of the application form.
After submission of the application form, the online application number received will be entered in the acknowledgement and given to the applicant.
Ladli Behna Yojana: Eligibility
The women should be a local resident of Madhya Pradesh.
Married, including widowed, divorced and abandoned women all are eligible.
Must have completed 21 years of age and be below 60 years of age as on 1st January of the calendar year of application.
