Eco-friendly solutions
The couple invested 10 lakh rupees to purchase a truck and essential kitchen items. However, establishing a food truck is more than just creating tasty recipes; maintaining the vehicle is equally crucial. Initially, they bought a Tempo Traveler, but soon realized it was too heavy and impractical for carrying heavy equipment. Therefore, they decided to buy a TATA Ace that runs on CNG, which was more environmentally friendly. This allowed them to avoid paying green fees while crossing into Gurugram and Noida.
From food truck to events
The couple started their food truck business before the advent of food delivery apps when online ordering was not very popular. That’s why they opted for direct marketing using traditional methods. They distributed pamphlets in specific areas containing their menu, along with their operating dates and times. Gradually, they built their customer base. Afterward, Satya and Jyoti ventured into new areas such as social gatherings, marathons, and corporate shows over the next few years. They introduced snacks like murukku, South Indian mixtures, laddoos, Mysore pak, coconut burfi, and others. These initiatives generated revenue even during lockdowns. Today, they earn an annual income of nearly 3 crore rupees from their food truck business.
