Reliance’s AGM: Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani on Monday pledged that the Jio platform is keen to develop India-specific AI models and AI-based solutions in domains that will help Indian citizens, businesses, and the government in this new era, “It will be For everyone, everywhere,” said Ambani.
Citing Artificial Intelligence (AI) as the most exciting development front for Jio, Ambani outlined ambitious plans in this regard at Reliance Industries’ 46th Annual General Meeting (AGM).
Ambani pledged the company’s commitment to build up to 2,000 MW of AI-ready computing capacity, adopting sustainable practices and a green future in the cloud and at the edge.
The global AI revolution is reshaping the world and intelligent applications will redefine and revolutionize industries, economies, and even daily life sooner than expected, RIL’s top honcho said.
To be globally competitive, India must use AI for innovation, growth, and national prosperity, he asserted.
“This is my promise to our countrymen. Seven years ago, Jio promised broadband connectivity to everyone, everywhere. We delivered. Today Jio promises AI to everyone, everywhere. And we will deliver,” he vowed.
At the RIL Group, the talent pool and capabilities are being enhanced to rapidly integrate the latest global innovations in AI, particularly recent advances in manufacturing AI.
He said that Looking ahead, the Jio Platform aims to lead efforts to develop India-specific AI models and AI-based solutions across domains, thereby bringing the benefits of AI to Indian citizens, businesses, and government.
