New Delhi: Jio’s new recharge plan of just Rs 10 per day comes with 2 GB daily data, unlimited calling, 100 free SMS, and various other benefits. The prepaid plan is available for Rs 999 and will be valid for 98 days which effectively translates to around Rs 10 per day. After activation, the subscribers can use total of 196 GB data throughout the validity period.
Customers will also get free subscriptions of Jio TV, Jio Cinema and Jio Cloud which will come bundled with the new Jio recharge plan. Albeit, the users will not get free subscription of Jio Cinema Premium. Plus, after full exploitation of daily data quota, the speed will be reduced to 65 Kbps. This is one of the ‘True 5G Unlimited Plans’ from the house of Reliance Jio.
The telecom is in midst of a fierce competition with other telecoms like Bharti Airtel, Vodafone Idea and even BSNL. In July 2024, Reliance Jio lost 7.50 lakh customers according to the Trai’s data. While, the state owned telco, BSNL, gained 29.3 lakh subscribers in the same month due to cheaper plans. For that matter, other two private telecoms, Airtel and VI lost 16.9 lakh and 14.1 lakh customers, respectively.
Apparently, in light of regained love of BSNL’s relatively cheaper plans among subscribers, Mukesh Ambani owned telecom has recently launched slew of Jio new recharge plans. Few days before the largest telecom rolled out a new prepaid plan with effective price of around Rs 3 per day. The features of which are the following:
Jio Recharge Plan Of Rs 75 (Details):
Validity – 23 days
Data – 0.1 GB/ day
Total Data – 2.5 GB
Free Subscriptions – Jio TV, Jio Cinema and Jio Cloud
50 free SMS
Tariff Hike:
The three private carriers had raised tariffs by 11-25% in July 2024. Albeit, the state-run BSNL haven’t gone for the tariff hike, recently. With fresh launch of Jio new recharge plans, billionaire Mukesh Ambani owned telecom may once again attract customers in forthcoming months.
