Ahead of its 9th anniversary on September 5, 2025, Jio has announced that its user base has crossed the 500 million mark. With the landmark achievement, the Telecom giant has solidified its position as the largest mobile data network globally. Akash Ambani, Chairman, Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited, has thanked Jio users for making this milestone possible.
Meanwhile, Reliance Industries Limited has underlined its five major achievements in a post on X.
- Jio made voice calls free from anywhere to everywhere in India.
- Jio enabled 500 Mn Indians to watch videos and make digital payments through their mobile phones.
- Jio laid the foundation for India’s Digital Public Infrastructure, such as Aadhaar, UPI, Jan Dhan, and Direct Bank Transfer
- Jio catalysed the world’s 3rd largest startup ecosystem and 100+ unicorns.
- Jio’s nationwide 5G rollout laid the foundation for the AI Revolution in the country
To celebrate this remarkable achievement and its 9th anniversary, Jio on Wednesday announced the company’s plan to roll out an exciting array of initiatives. Jio users will be delighted to know that the Telecom giant has planned a series of customer-centric offers.
What’s In The Offers?
While Jio is yet to reveal full details, initial reports suggest:
- During September 5-7, all 5G smartphone users will enjoy unlimited 5G data, absolutely free.
- All 4G smartphone users will also enjoy unlimited 4G data (with 3GB/day FUP limit) on opting for the Rs 39 data add-on.
- From Sept 5 to October 5 (on 2GB/day and above long-term plans), users will enjoy a 2-month new JioHome connection at only Rs 1200 (including GST).
