The low-cost airline, IndiGo has joined hands with Delta Airlines, Air France-KLM and Virgin Atlantic to increase air connectivity from India to Europe and North America.
‘Airlines aim to meet rising demand for international travel’
According to PTI, the airline said in a release, “Linking dozens of cities in the US, Canada, Europe and India, the airlines aim to meet rising demand for international travel while setting new standards for connectivity and cooperation in global aviation.”
Tie-up was jointly announced
IndiGo has already announced to add 10 international destinations in the current fiscal ending March 2026. The tie-up was jointly announced by IndiGo CEO Pieter Elbers, Delta Air Lines CEO Ed Bastian, Air France-KLM CEO Benjamin Smith and Virgin Atlantic CEO Shai Weiss in the national capital.
The low-cost airline said, “In IATA (International Air Transport Association), IndiGo announced that it would purchase another 30 Airbus A350 aircraft in addition to the 30 already in place.”
