India’s GDP growth for Q3 in FY22-23 grows moderate at 4.4%

Third Quarter GDP FY22-23: The GDP data for the Third quarter of fiscal year 2022-23 (Q3 FY23) was released by the National Statistical Office (NSO) on Tuesday. The Indian economy grew at 4.4% in the October-December quarter. In fiscal year 2021-22 the growth rate of the third quarter was 11.2%.

According to data released by the government, The Indian economy would grow by 7 per cent in the Financial year 2023 (FY23). The Economic growth of FY 2021-22 has been revised upward to 9.1 percent from 8.7 percent (earlier estimate)

As compared to GDP data of the first quarter of FY22-23 which was 13.5 per cent, The GDP of last quarter moderated to 6.3 per cent. The third quarter was majorly hit by the effects of covid pandemic.
