The Hurun Global Rich List 2025 is out now. According to the list, Roshni Nadar, chairperson of tech giant HCL, is the fifth-richest woman in the world. Roshni is also the third-richest in Indian, according to Hurun. She has a net worth of whooping Rs 3.5 lakh crore. Moreover, Roshni is the first Indian woman to enter the global top 10 female billionaires list, according to the list.
Roshni Nadar is the new entrant into the billionaires’ list, after her father, Shiv Nadar, transferred a 47% stake in HCL Technologies to her. Meanwhile, Alice Walton of Walmart group is the richest woman on the planet, with $102 billion, up 46%, primarily derived from a surge in Walmart’s share price.
According to Hurun Rich List, the world currently has 3,442 billionaires, which is a new world record. The current number of billionaires is 163 more than the last year. “For the first time in 10 years, the number of the US billionaires overtakes China, 870, up 70, compared with China’s 823, up 9,” said the Hurun report.
