As per the list with a wealth of Rs 9.55 lakh crore, Ambani has reclaimed the Top spot, while the Adani family stands second. Making History in the rankings, Roshini Nadar Malhotra and family have been able to achieve the third position with Rs 2.84 lakh crore. She is now India’s richest woman. The report acknowledges the significant impact of Newcomers on the nation’s wealth distribution.
As per the new list, it’s apparent that the affluent class has experienced substantial expansion over the years, with the country now housing more than 350 billionaires, representing a dramatic increase since the list’s inception 13 years ago. The combined wealth of all listed individuals totals Rs 167 lakh crore, approximately half of India’s Gross Domestic Product.
New Entrepreneurs take the charge
An influx of new entrepreneurs is now leading the wealth creation trends. At age 31, Perplexity’s Aravind has become India’s youngest billionaire with Rs 21,190 crore wealth. And none other than Shahrukh khan himself has made his debut on to list for the first time in the billionaire category. amassing an overall wealth of Rs 12,490 crore.
Niraj Bajaj was able to achieve the highest wealth increase, growing their fortune by Rs 69,875 crore to Rs 2.33 lakh crore, according to an ET report
Mumbai, the Wealth Capital
With 451 billionaires, Mumbai remains the wealth capital, whilst New Delhi follows with 223 and Bengaluru with 116. Industries that have showcased the highest representation include Pharmaceuticals with 137 entries, industrial products with 132, and chemical and petrochemicals with 137 entries, industrial products with 1232, and chemicals and petrochemicals contribute to 125 entries.
Women’s creation is wealth creation, showing promising growth, with 101 women appearing on the 2025 list, including 26 billionaires. Self-made individuals constituted 66% of the total list, showcasing the strong entrepreneurial spirit, while the list also showcases that 74% new newcomers built their wealth independently.
