Gujarat Budget 2023: Gujarat’s finance minister on Friday presented a Budget of Rs 3.01 lakh crore for the financial year 2023-24 in the State Assembly on the second day of the Budget session.
It is the first budget for the Bhupendra Patel government after a landslide victory in the 2022 Vidhan Sabha election. Let’s have a look at 10 key announcements of Gujarat’s Budget.
– Finance Minister announced a budget of a total Rs 3,01,021.61 crore
– No new taxes will be imposed

– The Government will spend 1,91 lakh crore as “development expenditure” and 1.04 crore will be spent as “non-development expenditure” of total Rs 3.01 lakh crore Budget allocation.
– Finance Minister announced to increase in insurance coverage under Jan Arogya MA to Rs 10 lakhs from Rs 5 lakhs
– Beneficiaries of ‘Pradhanmantri Ujjawala Yojna” would get 2 free gas cylinders in a year
– Rs 1500 crore allocated to develop high-speed corridors at five state highways to reduce traffic
– Each district of Gujarat will get Sports complexes
– Rs 1066 crore will be spent on Pradhanmantri Awas Yojna
– Ahmedabad and Surat Metro Project got Rs 905 crore
