February 2023 GST Collection: The Finance Ministry on Wednesday issued the Goods and Services Tax collection report of February 2023. As per the report, GST collection rose by 12 percent on YOY basis to over Rs 1.49 lakh crore. The Government has collected a cess of Rs, 11,931, which is the highest since the implementation of GST in the year 2017.

However, the GST collection in February is lower than the collection of the first month (January) of the year 2023. With a collection of 1.57 lakh crore, January recorded the second-highest GST collection ever. April 2022 has the record of all-time high GST collection with Rs 1.68 lakh crore.

“The Gross Goods and Service Tax revenue collection in February 2023 is Rs 1,49,577 Lakh crore. Here are the breakouts.

CGST – 27,662 crore
SGST – 34,915 crore
IGST – 75,069 crore
Cess – 11,931 crore

The GST collection of February 2023 is 12 per cent higher on a year-on-year basis. In February 2022 The GST collection was 1.33 lakh crore.
