Budget 2023: Budget 2023-24 is round the corner. In such a situation, people with more information told on Tuesday that on the eve of the budget session, the government has called an all-party meeting on January 30. The meeting has been called by Parliamentary Affairs Minister Prahlad Joshi just before the budget session starting on January 31.

The government is likely to seek cooperation from all parties, mainly Congress, Trinamool Congress and other opposition parties, for the smooth conduct of the session.

While the Economic Survey will be tabled in Parliament on January 31, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will present the Budget on February 1. The first part of the session will run from January 31 to February 13. The second part of the session will begin on March 13 and end on April 6.

With Budget 2023-24 round the corner, major industries have come up with their wish list from the government to streamline business and help spur growth to be able to contribute to the economy.

Moreover, Halwa ceremony was held on Thursday in the presence of Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman to mark the final stage of the Budget preparation process for Union Budget 2023-24,

A customary Halwa ceremony is performed every year before the “lock-in” process of Budget preparation begins.

As part of the ceremony, the Finance Minister also took a tour of the Budget Press and reviewed the preparations besides extending her best wishes to the officials concerned.

Like the previous two Union Budgets, Union Budget 2023-24 will also be delivered in paperless form. The Union Budget 2023-24 is to be presented on February 1, 2023.

The Budget documents will be available on the Mobile App after the completion of the Budget Speech by the Finance Minister in Parliament on February 1, 2023.
