New Delhi: Inquiry tool, Google, on Friday said that the tech giant plans to open its global fintech operation centre in Gujarat and invest $ 10 billion towards India’s digitisation fund. The announcement was made by Google CEO Sundar Pichai Pichai post meeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Washington earlier today.
“It was an honour to meet PM Modi during the historic visit to the US. We shared with the prime minister that Google is investing $10 billion in India’s digitisation fund. We are announcing the opening of our global fintech operation centre in GIFT City, Gujarat,” Pichai stated, as reported by the ANI.

Pichai further added that “We are continuing to invest through that, including in companies working on artificial intelligence. As part of that, we have a 100-language initiative. We are bringing bot to more Indian languages very soon.”
Google’s CEO talked about Google investing in India’s digitisation fund along with investing in tech companies working towards Artificial Technology(AI) and kudosed PM Modi’s vision to enhance India on a digital level.
Pichai was seen quoting, “The PM’s vision for Digital India was way ahead of his time and I now see it as a blueprint that other countries are looking to do.”
In July 2020, internet detective, Google made an announcement to invest $10 billion in India in the upcoming five to seven years as the search engine holds a view to accelerate the adoption of digital services in the key overseas market.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi met Joe Bioden on Friday at the White House, where both of the dignitaries talked about various subjects involving bilateral relations held between the two nations along with discussing the plans on the digital front.
