With this decision, now, the state government employees will enjoy 42 per cent DA instead of 38 per cent. In a tweet, Chief Minister Gehlot informed that a 4% increase in the dearness allowance of state employees has been approved as per central employees.

The central government also increased the dearness allowance by 4 per cent on Friday. 

Now, as per notification issued by the state finance department, from January 1, 2023, instead of 38%, Rajasthan government employees and pensioners will get  42% dearness allowance.

This will cost Rs 1640 crore annually to the state exchequer. This decision will benefit about 8 lakh employees and 4.40 lakh pensioners. Apart from state employees and pensioners, the benefit will be applicable to Panchayat Samiti and Zila Parishad employees also.
