Vande Bharat Express: Indian Railways will soon kick-start Vande Bharat Express train between Bihar’s Patna and West Bengal’s Howrah. The semi-high-speed train is expected to start operating between the two states in the first or second week of August. The Patna-Howrah Vande Bharat Express is expected to run at a speed of 90 kmph to 110 kmph and will cover the total distance of 535 km in seven hours.
Fare and Halts
It will be the second Vande Bharat Express so far. The first Patna-Ranchi Vande Bharat was begun on June 27. Now Bihar has two Vande Bharat Express. The train fare has not been fixed yet. It is expected that the fare for AC executive tickets will costs Rs 2,650, including meal. AC chair car costs Rs 1,450 including meal. The stoppage of the train has also not been confirmed. It is expected that there are likely to be only two stoppages at Asansol in West Bengal and Jasidih in Jharkhand
A high-level meeting between senior railway officials of ECR headquarters and Danapur section was organised through video conference on Sunday. Chief Public Relations Officer of East Central Railway (ECR) said that the works on the operational structure of Vande Bharat Express on Patna-Howrah route Hui are underway.
Railways has already begun preparations for semi-high-speed train operation on Patna-Howrah route. Strengthening of tracks on Patna-Jhajha-Asansol-Howrah main line of both ECR and Eastern Railway is underway. According to the TOI report, the railway official in Danapur has informed about this.
