Gautam Adani-led Adani Energy Solutions Ltd (AESL) has bagged a massive Rs 25,000 crore Bhadla (Rajasthan) – Fatehpur (Uttar Pradesh) HVDC (High Voltage Direct Current) order. It is the company’s largest order win till date, the company said in its regulatory filing.
Following the order, the company’s execution order book reached Rs 54,761 crore, while its transmission network expanded to 25,778 ckm, according to a report published in Financial Express.
The company further said in its regulatory filing that the AESL won the project under Tariff Based Competitive Bidding. It also informed that REC Power Development & Consultancy Ltd (RECPDCL) played the role of the bid process coordinator. The project SPV was formally transferred to AESL on January 20.
The AESL stated, “Called “Transmission system for evacuation of power from REZ in Rajasthan (20 GW) under Phase-III Part I”, the project includes establishment of 6,000 MW HVDC (High Voltage Direct Current) system between Bhadla to Fatehpur (~2400 ckm) along with 7500 MVA transmission capacity.”
AESL’s CEO, Kandarp Patel, stated that the company is playing a pivotal role in India’s decarbonisation journey. He added that their goal is to complete the project on time while minimizing its environmental impact.
