After a massive layoff across the country, the much-awaited good news has finally arrived. It is reportedly said that Tata Electronics is planning to increase manpower at the Tamil Nadu facility. According to a report, at the company’s Hosur plant, the strength will increase from 60,000 to 75,000. It gives a clear message that the company is going to hire 15,000 workers.
Why is the company hiring new employees?

Tata wants to match the strength of Apple’s contract manufacturer, Foxconn. Several parts are being assembled at Tata’s Hosur plant. Earlier, iPhone cases and covers were manufactured at the plant.
Apple’s production is increasing in the country
A report revealed that the company is swiftly expanding the scope of work. The company wants to increase electronics manufacturing services after learning that Apple’s production is growing in the country. As per data cited in an ET report in October, the export of Apple iPhones from India touched a record $10 billion in the first six months of the current financial year, which is 75% higher than $5.71 billion during the same period last year.
