Gold rate update, 16 February: Gold on Thursday recorded a fall of Rs 135 and dropped to the rate of Rs56,343 per 10 grams. While silver on Thursday witnessed a marginal rise of Rs 63 and reached to the level of Rs 65474 per kg. This downtick in precious metals has brought zeal among the buyers in the wedding season. This is indeed a golden opportunity to get jewellery at cheaper rates.
Gold rate update, 16 February on IBJA
According to Indian Bullion Jewelers Association, today the rate of gold has opened at the level of Rs 56343 per ten grams. At the same time, it had closed at the level of Rs 56478 per ten grams on the previous trading day. Thus, today gold opened with a decline of Rs 135 per ten grams.

Gold cheaper by Rs 2,539; Silver by Rs 14,506
However, even after this, gold is still selling cheaper by about Rs 2539 per 10 grams than its all-time high. Gold made its all-time high on February 2, 2023. At that time gold had gone up to the level of Rs 58882 per ten grams. Whereas today the rate of silver is open at Rs 65474 per kg. Silver had closed at 65411 per kg on the previous trading day. Thus, today the rate of silver opened with a gain of Rs 63 per kg.
Gold on MCX
Gold is being traded on MCX in the Thursday morning. Gold is being traded with a fall on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX). The futures trade of 5 April 2023 in gold is trading at a level of Rs 56,090.00 with a fall of Rs 36.00. On the other hand, the futures trade of silver on March 3, 2023, is trading at a level of Rs 65,440.00 with a gain of Rs 19.00.
