GoFirst crisis: Troubled airline GoFirst on Thursday announced again that its scheduled flight operations would remain suspended till June 19. The Airline company has issued such notice for the third time in a row in the month to cancel the operation of services. 

The company said that the full money will be refunded to the passengers who have booked tickets. Earlier, the company had, in a notice said to stop operations till June 12, then it was extended till June 16 and now the company has suspended its operations till June 19.

According to news agency ANI, GoFirst said that due to operational reasons, GoFirst flights scheduled till June 19, 2023, will be cancelled. 

GoFirst apologised for the inconvenience caused by the flight cancellation. They have also issued a letter. It states that we acknowledge that flight cancellations may disrupt your travel plans. We are committed to providing all possible assistance. The refund will be done soon.

Earlier, on June 8, GoFirst had announced that its scheduled flight operations would remain cancelled till June 12. After this, the company was told on Wednesday that now the operations should remain closed till June 16. Now for the third time on Thursday, it has been said by the company that the flight will remain cancelled till June 19. The airline operator is said to have filed for voluntary bankruptcy in early May. Since then the operations have been affected.

According to sources, the civil aviation regulator DGCA had advised the airline to submit a restructuring plan, taking comprehensive steps, within a period of 30 days. The revival plan once submitted by GoFirst will be reviewed by the regulator for further appropriate action in the matter.
