Ahmedabad witnessed a heartwarming and intimate wedding as Gautam Adani’s younger son, Jeet Adani, tied the knot with Diva Jaimin Shah, daughter of diamond merchant Jaimin Shah. The wedding, held at Belvedere Club, Adani Shantigram Township, was a simple and traditional Gujarati ceremony attended only by close family and friends. Pre-wedding celebrations began on February 5, with the main ceremony taking place on February 7, 2025.
On this special occasion, Gautam Adani shared a heartfelt message on social media, referring to his daughter-in-law Diva as his “daughter.” He wrote on X (formerly Twitter), “By the grace of the Almighty, Jeet and Diva are now bound in the sacred bond of marriage. This traditional ceremony was held today in Ahmedabad among loved ones with customary rituals and auspicious blessings. It was a small and highly private event, and unfortunately, we couldn’t invite all well-wishers, for which I seek your understanding. I humbly request love and blessings for my daughter Diva and Jeet.”

A Ceremony Rooted In Simplicity
The wedding, though modest, stood out for its focus on tradition and simplicity. Contrary to the trend of grand celebrations among industrialists, the Adani family chose to keep it low-key and deeply personal. During his recent visit to the Mahakumbh Mela, Gautam Adani had already clarified that Jeet’s wedding would be a private, traditional affair with no celebrity appearances. True to his word, no international personalities or Bollywood celebrities were present.
₹10,000 Crore Donation for Social Welfare
Gautam Adani not only ensured that the wedding remained simple but also made it memorable with a massive ₹10,000 crore donation for social welfare. This philanthropic gesture, announced on the occasion of his son’s wedding, reflects Adani’s belief in the philosophy “Seva Sadhana hai, Seva Prarthana hai, aur Seva hi Paramatma hai” (Service is devotion, service is prayer, and service is the ultimate purpose).
A significant part of the donation will be utilized for developing infrastructure in healthcare, education, and skill development, aiming to provide affordable access to world-class hospitals, medical colleges, top-tier K-12 schools, and global skill academies for all sections of society.
‘Mangal Seva’ Initiative Launched
Ahead of the wedding, the Adani family announced the ‘Mangal Seva’ program, an initiative to support newlywed women with disabilities. Under this program, 500 newlywed women with disabilities will receive ₹10 lakh each year as financial assistance. Two days before the wedding, Jeet Adani met 21 newlywed couples with disabilities at his home as part of the initiative.
Gautam Adani expressed his joy on social media, stating that his son and daughter-in-law were embarking on their married life with a meaningful and noble purpose. He added that he believed this initiative would bring happiness, peace, and dignity to many differently-abled women and their families.
Jeet Adani’s Role In The Adani Group
Jeet Adani is currently the Director of Adani Airports, overseeing operations at six international airports and leading the development of the upcoming Navi Mumbai airport. He holds a degree from the University of Pennsylvania’s School of Engineering and Applied Sciences.
The wedding may have been a private affair, but it left a lasting impact through its philanthropic gestures and message of simplicity, tradition, and service to society.
