Meet The Indian Businessman Who Owns 22 Apartments In Burj Khalifa - Once A Mechanic

Indian businessman George V. Nereaparambil has a classic rags-to-riches story. Born in Kerala, he was once a mechanic but now owns 22 stunning apartments in Burj Khalifa.

Yes, it might be hard to believe, but it’s true. Nereaparambil owns 22 of the 900 apartments in Burj Khalifa and hopes to buy more. He arrived in Sharjah in 1976 and quickly saw the big potential for an air conditioning business in the desert. The mechanic-turned-businessman started GEO Group of Companies and now proudly owns a thriving empire.

When Nereaparambil was 11, he helped his father trade cash crops, transporting materials to the market and negotiating prices. At a young age, he not only learned the basics of trade but also discovered how to use leftover cotton seeds effectively.

With his business knowledge, he moved to Sharjah and now owns some of the most expensive properties in the world. His apartments feature gold decor on the walls, floors, and ceilings.

Nereaparambil’s impressive purchase happened after a friend teased him. “A relative jokingly told me, ‘See this Burj Khalifa, you cannot enter it.'” Nereaparambil not only entered the Burj Khalifa but left a significant mark.

After seeing a newspaper ad for an apartment in the building, the businessman from Kerala called right away. He rented the apartment that same day and moved in the next day. That was in 2010. Now that he is successful, he wants to give back to society by building a canal from Trivandrum to Kasaragod.

“This canal will benefit nature. We’ll generate electricity from the water coming from the nearby forest. We’ll also use the water to grow vegetables and create a small section for fishermen to cultivate fish. The slurry will be used as fertilizer. I enjoy buying land, and I want to utilize every part of this canal,” he said.

A Shift Towards BJP's Aggressive Hindutva Amid Opposition's Leadership Crisis

The Maharashtra election may further push the Congress down as it has lost the election at a time when it needed a win most desperately. Though the Congress succeeded in pushing the BJP to a corner and stopping it at less than a majority on its own, it failed to make any headway further.
