New Delhi: The upcoming week for Indian equity market will be driven by changes in crude oil prices, global trends, and quarterly earnings. Note that the coming trading week is shortened due to a holiday of Dussehra on October 24.
The Israel-Hamas conflict will continue to make an impact on the market due to which, everyone would be eying on it keenly, including foriegn investors, reported the news agency PTI.
Speaking on the matter, senior technical analyst at Swastika Investmart Pravesh Gour stated that the global markets are in a fragile state as of now due to heightened attention on the rising US bond yield, global economic uncertainty, and also the geopolitical situation, quoted the Mint.
Gour added that investors will be looking keenly to these elememts as they have the potential manipulate market sentiments. As per Gour, Rupee movement against the Dollar, investments by domestic institutional investors (DIIs), institutional investors (FIIs) and Crude oil prices are some of the key factors that the investors must be monitoting closely.
Sensitive Trends
As per the rule, monthly derivates end on October 26 (Thursday), which is likely to prompt sensitive trends in the markets, experts predicts.
Ajit Mishra, SVP – Technical Research at Religare Broking Ltd said, “This week is a holiday-shortened one and we expect volatility to remain high due to the prevailing earnings season and scheduled expiry of October month derivatives contracts,” Mint quoted.
Meanwhile, another industry expert said the market’s direction will be influenced by developments in the Israel-Palestine conflict. It is important to monitor the financial performance of major Indian companies. Additionally, attention should be given to significant events on both the global and domestic fronts, including the UK services PMI, US manufacturing and services PMI, US GDP, initial jobless claims, and crude oil inventories.
