Digilocker: DigiLocker, which we also know as a digital locker is recognized by the Government of India. It is a digital document wallet that gives you the option of storing your important documents digitally and accessing them at your convenience.

You can save a host of important documents including a driving license, voter ID card, PAN card and insurance policy documents in the DigiLocker app. You will have access to it for 24 hours. After creating a DigiLocker account, you can upload documents and save them securely. The cloud storage space you get from DigiLocker is linked to your Aadhaar number.

The process to change the number

  •   Open the DigiLocker app on your smartphone.
  • Sign in to your account with your User ID and enter your 6-digit security code.
  •  Your DigiLocker mobile number will send OTP to your phone to verify your login details.
  • Enter the OTP in the box and then select the option “Update your mobile number”.
  • Enter the UIDAI OTP sent to the mobile number linked to your Aadhaar card.
  • Re-enter the OTP sent by DigiLocker to your new mobile number to verify your login details. After this, your mobile number will be changed.
