Nirmala Sitharaman, Finance Minister, will begin her pre-budget meetings on Monday, beginning with industry leaders and experts in infrastructure and climate change. Sitharaman will hold virtual meetings to solicit suggestions from stakeholders for the fiscal year 2023-24 budget.

On November 22, the minister will meet with representatives from the agriculture and agro-processing industries, as well as the financial sector and capital market.
On November 24, she will also meet with representatives from the services sector and trade associations, as well as experts from the social sector, including health, education, water, and sanitation.
On November 28, there will be pre-budget meetings with trade union representatives and economists. The participants will make recommendations for the 2023-24 Budget, which the Finance Minister will present to Parliament on February 1.
