New Delhi: Ajit Mohan, Meta Platforms’ India chief, has resigned to explore another opportunity, the company said on Thursday. He is reportedly joining Snap, a competing social networking app.

As of January 2019, Ajit Mohan was the managing director of Facebook India. Over 200 million new users joined WhatsApp and Instagram in India during his visit to the country.

Mohan spent four years as the CEO of Star India’s Hotstar video streaming service before joining Meta.
